Hi, I’m Nick. I am 21. I love reading books, but I wish I had more time to do so. I love Harry Potter; I always thought I was a Ravenclaw, or maybe a Gryffindor. I love Pottermore; I got in early and I got sorted into Hufflepuff! I love Hufflepuff and am very pleased I was sorted into it—even though I was very surprised at first—because I’ve learned what qualities I value and try to emulate: hard work, loyalty, kindness, and friendship. I love my wand on Pottermore: ebony with a phoenix feather core, 10 3/4 inches and quite flexible. I love writing and creating stories; I’m hoping to make one of those said stories into a novel series. I love theatre, especially musicals. I love getting fitted for costumes. I love being able to wear different costumes for shows; I’ve had some pretty interesting ones over the years. I love dancing. I love learning new dances and new types of dance. I love singing (I may not be the best, but I can fool some people). I love acting and getting into a character’s state of mind, the emotions they feel, the experiences they have had. I love the nerves you get before a performance. I love making videos: creating, directing, filming, acting, editing, anything. I love cooking, I just wish I did it more often. I love movies, almost any genre. I love the TV show Community, and I can honestly say it is my favorite show on television. I love how intelligent and funny it is, and I love all the characters and the fact that they are truly a family. I love Heroes; I wish I had superpowers. I love Modern Family because it reminds me of my big crazy family. I love Once Upon A Time because it’s so intricate and complex; you really have to pay attention and it’s become a new Heroes or Lost to me since I miss those two incredible shows. I love Glee and have every song from the first two seasons on my iPod; I’m done with it now, but I won’t deny that I used to love it. I love music, and will honestly listen to anything. I love that feeling you get in the pit of your stomach when you’re on a roller coaster. I love that you get the same feeling with that special person. I love Mount Carmel; I really miss it. I love college: being on my own, being surrounded by the people in my dorm, meeting a bunch of new people, and going to parties. I love being home; now I fully understand why so many people write about it. I love Latin (the language). I love Chicago. I love being a lifegaurd at North Avenue Beach. I love that after 16 years of being whiter than a ghost, I finally started to get tan in the summer. I love the beauty of nature: the snow on bare trees in the winter, the thunder and lightning of storms in the spring, the sparkle on the lake water in the summer, and the multitude of colors in the fall. I love skiing, snow and water, but it’s been too long since I’ve gone. I love volleyball, especially on the beach. I love swimming. I love water polo. I love the Olympics, especially in the summer because it makes me nostalgic for when I did gymnastics and swimming and water polo. I love helping people however I can and listening to them when they need somebody to talk to. I love God; judge me. I love my dog. I love my friends that let me be me in all my unglory. I love my family; I am so insanely lucky to have them all in my life. I love a lot of things because, unfortunately, nothing in this crazy world can last forever, so I believe that you should throw your whole heart into each and every single thing that you do.
